50's Glamour Makeup Look

I've been in a bit of a funk lately. Between being sick, starting a new job and taking care of my sick 2 year old I've been overwhelmed. I had a few minutes extra in the morning, so I thought a fun makeup look would be just the thing to bring my spirits up!

To get this look, I used some of my favorite products!

                                                   For this look, I used:

 1. Murad's Invisiblur Perfecting Shield- This is a new product that is moisturizer, sunscreen, serum and primer all in one! It also helps to blur large pores and lines.

2. Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and Kat Von D Tattoo concealer- These 2 combined give a great long lasting flawless finish!

3. Hard Candy Baked Blush in Honeymoon- This is my favorite highlighter and can be found at WalMart!

4. MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Ochre- I always use this as my eyeshadow base and it keeps everything in place

5.Too Faced Smoky Eye Palette- I used White Lie for the lid and Cloves for the crease

6. Lancome Artliner- This is my favorite liquid liner! The felt tip is so easy to use and get straight lines with!

7. Anastasia Dipbrow- I had completely given up on my brows because I didn't like the way the powders looked. Dipbrow is my new favorite thing! It is super easy to use and defines the brows nicely.

8. Sephora Lipstick in The Red-  This is my favorite red and super long lasting to boot!

Frosty Pink Swirls- Super Easy Nail Stamping Design!

I recently had a client who was newer to nail art and wanted something that was not too out there. My original vision was of a light pink base with a lace design on top, but we together came up with this:

For the base color, we used a beautiful frosty pink color from Bio Seaweed Gel called Pearl. This was my first time using this color and it is simply gorgeous!

For the design, I used the top middle pattern from the Sugar Bubbles SB016 nail stamping plate.

I used my trusty Mundo de Unas polish in white to stamp the design.

To finish it off, I double top-coated the nails to seal the design in.

What is your favorite new color discovery?

Under the Sea nails- Pedicure of the Week

It has recently been getting into the 90's where I live, so I decided that it was finally time to bust out the sandals and do my toes up!

I am a huge fan of indie polish and I have been waiting for a while to bust out my Jolie Polish glitter in Tessellate that I had gotten in December!

I used Zoya Zuza as my base and then layered 3 coats of Tessellate over the top to give it that 3 dimensional layered look. I then sealed everything off with my favorite new topcoat- OPI Infinite Shine.

Overall, I love how it turned out- It reminds me of looking down into the ocean's depths!

Hello Kitty Pink and Whites Nail Art

I am a HUGE Hello Kitty fan, so when I had a client who is nearly as fanatical as I am, it was super exciting! This is definitely one of my favorite sets of nails that I have ever done!

For the base pink and white colors, I used Bio Seaweed Gel in Raspberry Ice and Snow White.

I painted the kitty details and zebra stripes on with acrylic paints. The bows I glued on and then anchored in place with gel topcoat.

To get the bow accent nails, I used Fab Ur Nails Fun 10 nail stamping plate and my favorite stamping polish, Mundo de Unas in white.

To finish it off, I double top-coated using the Bio Seaweed Gel topcoat.

These were super fun to do and my client ended up loving them so it was a win-win!

80's Themed Negative Space Nail Art

I've wanted to try out the negative space trend for a while now. My client loved the idea, but wanted something a little more neon so we made it 80's themed!

I first prepped the nails with a base coat. For the bright colors, I actually used acrylic paint.

On the accent nail, I used OPI Liquid Sand in It's Frosty Outside, which turns into a gorgeous holographic glitter when you top coat it!

To complete the look, I used a double gel topcoat to keep everything from chipping and give it shine.

Overall, I'm not a huge fan of the negative space look, but this was something new and fun to try!

Easter Nail Art featuring UberChic Stamping Plates

After a month of being sick, I am finally back! My nails have been so sad so I was excited to finally get a chance to pretty them up! As it is nearing Easter, I wanted to do something with pastels.

I've been wanting to use my OPI Infinite Shine system for a while now, so I used the base coat and then Strong Coal-ition as the base color.

For the designs, I used my new UberChic stamping plate (which for the record I love and will be doing a swatch post soon!) along with my Mundo de Unas stamping polish in Pastel Blue and Velvet.

To finish off, I used the OPI Infinte Shine topcoat which I found great to stamp on and it also sealed in the stamping polish really well!

What do your nails look like this Easter?

Adopt! Don't Shop! Dog Lovers Nail Art

Animal adoption and animal abuse are two subjects that I am very passionate about. I live in Florida in an area that is overridden with strays. It is extremely uncommon for me to leave the house and not see at least one. It breaks my heart to see them out there and I just want to take all of them home with me (Although I think my husband would kill me as we currently have 4 fur-babies and one human toddler lol!). That is why I was so excited to do this manicure on one of my clients who co-ordinates animal rescues and fosters animals. Her latest foster was a newborn kitten she found abandoned and nursed back to health!

Step 1:    I first put down a base coat of Bioseaweed Gel in Blue Me Away

Step 2: I then used acrylic paints to paint the bones, words and animal abuse awareness ribbons on the nails

Step 3: I used my Hehe 021 stamping plate with a white stamping polish to make the paw prints on the nails

Step 4: I found these adorable charms at Hobby Lobby (you can always find a 40% off coupon for them!!) and used a paw print and bone for the 3d aspect. I cut off the bumps on the bottom using cuticle nippers and glued them down using nail resin. To really make sure they were anchored down, I used builder gel around and underneath them.

To finish it off, I used 2 coats of Bioseaweed gel topcoat to seal everything in!

Have you ever adopted or rescued an animal? Next time you're thinking about getting a new pet, check out your local shelter or Humane Society. There are SO many animals
waiting to find their forever homes!
